Pregnancy is a miracle. It happens often, but it is still amazing every time. Though pregnancy is not always easy, the tips from this piece should be of help.

Be more conservative about your sunscreen use than you were when you were not pregnant. You should also stay away from tanning beds. You are much more likely to burn while you are pregnant, and getting so hot is not the best thing for either you or the baby. When you use sunscreen, use a sunscreen appropriate for babies.

Scour your home and rid it of any chemicals that may be harmful to you or your baby. Cleaning solutions are a huge problem, so try to use natural brands when possible. After you have your baby, keep these agents outside of your home to make your environment safer for the child.

TIP! Will you be having a baby in nine months? Is breastfeeding part of your plan? Do you plan on doing so in public? Buy some nursing clothing for this. A number of companies provide clothing that allow a mother to breastfeed discreetly.

Take a break from changing your cat’s litter box for awhile. The chemicals in soiled cat litter can be harmful to a woman, and her fetus, during pregnancy. If married, then ask your spouse to change the litter, if single ask a neighbor, friend or family member to pitch in and help until you have the baby.

Avoid caffeine when you are pregnant. Caffeine can cause your insomnia and make it hard for you to get the sleep that you need. Try to eat crackers and other stomach calming foods through the day if you feel nauseous. Eating healthy can help you get enough sleep.

If you are pregnant and you get an illness or eat a food that causes diarrhea, be sure that you drink plenty of fluids. Dehydration is extremely dangerous for the pregnant woman and her baby.

TIP! Make sure you adjust your diet so that you and your unborn child can receive the nutrients you need. If fast food was a staple in your diet, you’ll have to change that as it’s not healthy for you or the baby.

Leg Cramps

Stretching your legs before you go to sleep can help you avoid leg cramps in the middle of the night. You may wake up with your legs tangled, so this will help loosen them up. Stretch before bed and stay hydrated to prevent leg cramps.

Do not use hot tubs or saunas while you are pregnant. Becoming overheated can endanger your developing baby. Also, try to avoid oils at spas, as this can cause you to contract. Scents like juniper, clary sage and rosemary are possible culprits.

TIP! It you are attempting to get pregnant, keep track of your menstrual cycles. Knowing your cycles helps you to know when your chances for conception will be most successful.

It is possible to keep wearing your pre-pregnancy pants with a few minor adjustments as your belly grows. When you have a belly band on underneath, no one will know it is open. Maternity clothes can be expensive, so look for ways to alter the clothes you already have first.

Pregnancy is often considered one of the great miracles of life. You should do everything you can to enjoy it as much as possible. Pregnancy is no walk in the park, but it will be a memory you’ll cherish forever. Using what you’ve learned here, you are now armed with knowledge about dealing with pregnancy or helping a pregnant friend or family member.
