Much of your focus during your pregnancy will be on the arrival new baby, and the changes that will come with that! However, the prior nine months are important in their own right and come with their own set of challenges. The following article can help you during this phase in your life.

To help you be able sleep through the night plan your water consumption out carefully. It is important that you are well hydrated during the daytime, but once dinner time comes, it is best to reduce the amount. Stop completely, though, right before going to bed. This keeps you in bed and out of the bathroom.

Create a relaxing bedtime routine during pregnancy to get the best sleep that you can. Keeping a regular routine in your evenings signals your body that bedtime is coming, which means you fall asleep with ease. You can take a warm bath, do a little light reading, or ask your significant other for a massage.

TIP! Discuss any travel plans with your doctor, during pregnancy. Be sure to bring your prenatal medical records along, in the event of a problem or accident.

Make sure you adjust your diet so that you and your unborn child can receive the nutrients you need. If you eat fast food constantly before pregnancy, you have drastic changes to make. Eat more lean proteins, fruits and vegetables as soon as you find out you are pregnant.

If you are pregnant it is very important to stay away from stressful situations. The woman not only suffers from problems related to being stressed out, the baby can become stressed too. Worst case scenario, stress could cause premature birth to occur.

Litter Box

TIP! If there’s a cat in your home, make someone else change the litter during the months a child grows in your womb. The chemicals in soiled cat litter can cause complications in your pregnancy, so it is better to avoid this chore.

Make sure you do not change your cat’s litter box if you are pregnant. Cat feces may be contaminated with a harmful parasitic infection that can be passed to you through handling the litter. Get your spouse or roommate to handle this for you, or have a neighbor or relative stop by regularly to change the litter box.

As the pregnancy progresses, make sure you have a birthing facility tour booked in. The more comfortable you are, the easier birthing will be. Check out several different places so you can select the best birthing facility for you. Be sure that you have what is necessary for the baby and the other person that sits with you when you’re in labor.

If you suspect you might be pregnant, try a home test or see a doctor immediately. If you don’t know you are pregnant, and as a result don’t get proper care, you may cause harm to your baby.

TIP! Try to avoid vitamin A as much as you can when pregnant. It is known for causing damage to a baby during early development.

Always keep a diet that has sufficient protein intake during this important phase. Protein is a very important nutrient that is good for you, and one your baby needs to grow healthy. High protein food sources include but are not limited to nuts, eggs, meat, dairy, seeds and tofu.

Pregnancy brings up questions, worries and stresses you want to avoid. The information shared here can give you some answers and help you know what to expect.
