Pregnancy is perhaps the most miraculous thing in a human life. Each year, a lot of people are caught by surprise that they are expecting a baby. The tips here should make your pregnancy easier.

Create a bedtime routine in order to improve your sleeping schedule when pregnant. If you have a routine in the evening you will ensure your body will know when it wants to go to sleep. Other things you may find very soothing include a warm bath or shower, quiet music, and/or massage.

Wear sunscreen if you are pregnant, regardless of whether you usually do. Stay away from tanning beds. Pregnant women are more susceptible to sunspots and burns because their skin is more sun sensitive. Still, when you do put on sunscreen, make sure to wear a brand that was approved by your doctor.

TIP! Are you currently pregnant? Is breastfeeding part of your plan? Do you want to feed privately or in public as well? Buy some nursing clothing for this. Companies exist that make garments meant for discreet breastfeeding.

Even pregnant women should be cautious and diligent about wearing sunblock during time spent in the harsh sunlight. Women have skin that becomes more sensitive when they’re pregnant so that means things like sunburn can happen. This could also cause skin cancer, so be careful about being in the sun too often.

Litter Box

If you have pets such as a cat, have someone else do the litter box changing. While a woman is pregnant, these chemicals in a used litter box can actually cause a lot of toxic harm. Get your spouse or roommate to handle this for you, or have a neighbor or relative stop by regularly to change the litter box.

TIP! Plan your water intake around your small bladder if you want to sleep easier while pregnant. Make sure to drink plenty of water throughout the day, however not so much at night.

While there are many nutrients you need to increase during pregnancy, you actually need to reduce vitamin A intake during this period. Vitamin A can be harmful to the embryo. Avoid foods like mangoes, egg yolk and mozzarella cheese, since they all contain this vitamin. While none of these foods will harm you in moderation, over doing it can cause problems.

Understand that you might not get pregnant right away. In fact, it takes some women a year or longer in order to get pregnant. But by one year’s time, if you’re still not pregnant, talk to your doctor about it. They’ll be able to determine if there are medical reasons as to why you cannot conceive.

If your baby is overdue, walk around as much as possible. Walking can get the baby into the right position. Have someone accompany you on your walk. Do not do anything dangerous, like contact exercising.

TIP! Make a day-ending routine for better sleep during your pregnant months. A consistent routine helps prepare your body for sleep, making it easier to go to sleep when it’s time.

Always tell your physician about any changes you experience during your pregnancy, even something as seemingly minor as swollen feet. Swollen feet can signal preeclampsia, dangerously high blood pressure that can occur during pregnancy. For a healthy birth, this condition must be prevented or detected as soon as possible.

The bottom line is that pregnancy truly is miraculous. Most women are surprised and excited to learn they are pregnant. Pregnancy isn’t easy, however, it may be handled in a way to become a joyful memory. The advice above may help you or someone you know that is having a baby.
